Student Level | Consumer Defense Lab

Every skilled craftsman starts in the ToolRoom.

ToolRoom is the foundational enrollment level of the Consumer Defense Lab and serves as the entry point into the methodology, terminology, and analytical framework taught throughout the program. Designed for students who are new to consumer defense studies or who want to build a strong educational foundation, ToolRoom focuses on developing the core knowledge and habits required for advanced study.

Students begin with the methodology itself, learning how consumer matters are analyzed through evidence, procedure, burden of proof, and statutory authority rather than assumptions or unsupported theories. Through structured coursework across multiple departments, members develop a working understanding of consumer protection law, credit reporting, evidentiary foundations, and procedural strategy.

ToolRoom is self-paced, allowing students to progress through the curriculum at a pace that fits their schedule while maintaining access to the Consumer Defense Lab community, resource library, and foundational course materials.
